IMBA Canada is excited to announce that it is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Trail Care Crew Leader in support of field operations for the 2015 season. Traveling alongside the Manager of Field Programming, the chosen candidate will assist in providing Trail Care Crew workshops nationwide. The successful applicant will have demonstrated an ability to operate as an ambassador for IMBA Canada by providing enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude.
The position involves providing Trail Care Crew workshops to partner organizations across Canada, giving educational presentations, reporting and promoting program successes through social media and other outlets, and providing specialized trail and organizational knowledge to assist partner organizations.
Since 2010 the Canadian Trail Care Crew program has supported outdoor recreation communities by providing education on trail building and volunteer management, training local volunteer groups to work more effectively with land managers, and by representing mountain bikers' interests to local and national decision-makers.
The goals of the program are to inspire high quality trail projects, increase stewardship of Canada's public lands, promote of Canada's natural heritage sites, and engage the mountain bike and trails communities.
