Earlier this year, P-K Express announced that Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary Northwest, in conjunction with P-K Express was donating $1,100 to the Hamilton Cycling Club's Thursday night time trial on Indian Trail. The donation will be used to award prize money to the fastest combined average speeds for three participations on the Indian Trail Time Trial. The payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be $300, $175, $75 respectively for both male and female competitors.
After six events, first and second place appear to be locked up for the men, with 21 year old JetFuel rider Chris Prendergast leading the standings with a combined time of 19:28, followed by Chris Rowley in 19:59. There is a tight three-way race for third between Kevin Tearle (20:35), Dylan Coletto (20:42) and Tony Morelli (20:46).
The race for the women's podium is wide open with four women having completed two of the three required events. With three races remaining (July 30th, August 13th, 27th) there is still plenty of time to come and set some fast times and move yourself up the standings.
