October 24/15 7:52 am - Top Riders Mentor Young Athletes at Cross Nationals

On Friday evening before the Cyclo-cross Nationals in Winnipeg, a group of top riders put on mentoring sessions for aspiring young athletes. Fast and Female is well established across multiple sports, and Leah Kirchmann put together the program here, with over 20 young women participating. The Boys Clinic was organized for the first time by Michael van den Ham, and it attracted 15 riders.

Both sessions saw the mentors talk about their experiences at the top end of the sport, with practical demonstrations of stretching. The mentors and the young riders then did a pre-ride of the course, with the pros giving tips.
