There is less than a month left to register for The Granfondo Garneau-Florida, back for its fourth edition on March 20th, under the sunny skies of Florida.
One thousand cyclists are expected to start this event, which has become a classic for everyone who rode it in the previous years. Louis Garneau is inviting you to join him in 2016: "Treat yourself to a few extra days of Easter vacation. Spend a week in Florida and enjoy the ride of your life at the Granfondo Garneau. Cool vibes and lovely people will give you unforgettable memories."
Start your 2016 riding season on a panoramic oceanside road. The Granfondo Garneau-Florida Ride is designed for everyone, whether you are an experienced cyclist wanting to push your own limits or you are someone new to riding and want to ride at your own pace. Discover the beautiful and scenic roads of South Florida while being catered to every inch of the way. The event promises to be a day filled with health, wellness, and fun!
News this year, the Gambler Ride: a ride for participants of all levels who do not want a timing chip. Get one playing card when you start, three more along the way and a final card at the end of the ride to complete your poker hand. The cyclists with the best hands win prizes! All the card checkpoints are rest stops.
The charity partner is the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, which works for the preservation of sea turtles, with some of the most important breeding sites in the world located in Florida.
