Coal City Cycles is a new customer service oriented bicycle store, located in Nanaimo, BC, on Vancouver Island. We are looking for a mechanic with previous shop experience who is also customer service oriented, comfortable talking about cycling, and who considers riding bikes as part of their lifestyle. Individuals who are familiar with servicing suspension, wheel building and are knowledgeable in the many different genres of cycling will be preferred as candidates, but we hire based on attitude as much as our hires are based on knowledge.

In our shop, mechanics are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including assisting customers, shop sales and profitability, repairs and bike builds. As a Coal City Cycles employee, you will also represent us in the local cycling community by participating in local events, leading in-store clinics and other duties as needed.
