June 6/17 9:19 am - Ontario Accepting Applications for BMX Nationals Squad

Team Ontario is calling for applications to represent the province at the BMX National Championship/Canada Cup. The Nationals will be held in St Albert and Calgary, Alberta on August 17-27, 2017. Expression of interest from potential team members must be received by June 15, 2017.

All interested athletes must email Brendan Arnold [brendan.arnold@ontariocycling.org] using "BMX Nationals" in the subject line. Please provide a list of key results to date in the email body. The final selection date is July 10, 2017

Athlete selection will be prioritized as follows:

• Athletes selected to NextGen East BMX program* [*Subject to athlete commitment to coach prescribed program training]

• Top 3 placing at Canada Cups [1-4] in Championship Classes

• Top 3 placing at Canada Cups [1-4] in Junior Development Classes

• Top 5 placing at Canada Cups [1-4] in Championship Classes

Any remaining selections will be made by coach/committee decision using the following considerations:

- 2017 Canada Cup performances
- 2017 Canada BMX/ABA events
