Hardwood Ski and Bike is pleased to announce that it will re-open its trails to the public on Saturday, January 6th, 2018.
The Trails are in beautiful condition, and they are waiting to for skiers and snowshoers to be able to enjoy them. Please note that they do not have any rentals and the NordiKids Programs have been postponed one week and will begin on Saturday January 13th, 2018.
"This is the first step in a long journey to full recovery. I am optimistic that Hardwood, with the support of our community, will be back stronger than ever before," said Gareth Houben - President & General Manager, Hardwood Ski and Bike.
On December 25th, 2017 the main chalet was devastated by fire causing the building and most of the contents unusable. Hardwood will re-open the trails ONLY this Saturday. It will be essentially "ski from your car" experience, although they will be converting the wax building into a warming hut. Hardwood is also working on having some sort of food and beverage services available. There will be portable washrooms.
"I am excited that we will be able to get back to skiing on the great trails at Hardwood. The staff have been working very hard to get us started back on the road to a bigger and better Hardwood Ski and Bike," said Jack Sasseville - Past President and General Manager Hardwood Ski and Bike.
Hardwood Ski and Bike will continue to work hard to bring you the best experience possible. Please continue to visit the website and social media channels for updates.
