National Talent ID Camps are a great opportunity to help athletes develop at an early stage of the podium pathway. Participants will learn about the National Team program, learn essential MTB skills and have fun with other riders and coaches from their area. It's a chance to get noticed by the National Team and to learn how local athletes can grow into Olympians.

For Coaches: The NextGen Junior Coach from Cycling Canada and the best coaches in your region will be in attendance at the National Talent ID day. The coaches will deliver an engaging and fun day of skills and riding that will help you race faster. After the camp, there will be opportunities to continue your progression with local programs and coaches who have the knowledge and skills to help you reach your goals.

• MTB specific games and challenges
• Racing tactics and strategies
• Training tips and motivation
• Fun!

Baie St-Paul - May 21st
Tremblant - May 27th
Horseshoe - June 11th
Hardwood - June 18th
Canmore - July 23rd
Kentville - August 6th

Registration

What can I do to prepare for the camp

• Before the camp, participants are invited to fill out a questionnaire about their previous athletic experience
• Participants can also practice some essential skills before the camp: cornering, bunny-hops (J-Hops), wheelies / manuals and race starts

National Mountain Bike Team Intensive Camp - for athletes aged 12 to 16 years old

When: June 25th to 29th

Where: Bromont National Cycling Center - centrenationalbromont.com

Who: All young serious athletes aged between 12 and 16 years old who what to perfect their mountain biking skills

Start and finish: Monday, June 25th at 9am; Friday, June 29th at 3pm

All inclusive camp with lodging (please bring your pillow, sleeping bag and towels) and catering (breakfast, dinner and supper)

Activities

• XC mountain biking in the Bromont trails
• Technical and tactical training for mountain biking racing
• 3 days of riding at Ski Bromont with chairlift access
• Female coach always present for the whole camp duration
• BMX and pumptrack riding in Bromont and Waterloo (asphalt pumptrack)
• Track riding (velodrome)
