As Canadian Bike National Sales Manager you are responsible for leading the Sales and Customer Service Team in Canada for our Bicycle Division. Responsibilities include developing and executing the sales forecasts for achieving our financial goals. You and your team will collect competitive analysis, industry developments, and appropriate market requirements to build successful sales programs. Together with your Sales Team, you will be closely involved in implementation of all sales activities. You will work with the Marketing Team to ensure collaboration between sales and marketing. You will collect and compile all relevant sales data and report to the GM and Global Sales Teams on a monthly basis. The position also cooperates and assists the Accounting department through a joint reporting arrangement. As the National Sales Manager you will need to work closely with Shimano North American Bike and Shimano Japan to follow corporate product and sales direction.
This position requires frequent domestic and international travel.
Position will be based in Peterborough, Ontario.
What We Are Looking For
Shimano is looking for a National Sales Manager that can motivate, direct, align, and support the sales and customer service team. You are a great team player and very good at building relationships. You take ownership and you have an open, trustworthy attitude. Your profile:
• Five years' experience in Marketing/Sales within the sporting goods industry
• Bachelor degree, academic level of thinking
• Strong understanding of the current sales channel of the Canadian bicycle industry
• Affinity and/or knowledge of the bicycle market is essential
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with strong business focus
• Excellent influencing and persuading skills in a sales environment
• Experience in working with wholesalers, sport specialty retailers and independent bicycle dealers
• High level of industry expertise and in-depth industry knowledge an asset
• Bilingual French and English is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced level Excel, PowerPoint
