Cycling Elements in Orangeville is looking for someone. The skills and requirements are somewhat fluid for this position because we are a growing business looking for great people, and your specific skills can be integrated into the business.
You must be willing to work hard, stay focused in a chaotic environment and dive head first into our world of Independent Bicycle Retail. In this business you go full speed for six months and then recover for six months. It's an odd rhythm of attack and retreat, but the energy of a bustling store in May is addictive.
Quite simply, we are looking for someone to help solve problems. Sometimes I find myself awake in the night worrying about our problems, such as:
• how can we contact customers faster when their order comes in?
• how can we better manage our tune-ups list?
• are we doing our best at omni-channel sales and marketing?
What can we offer You, the solver of our problems?
Cycling Elements offers a stimulating work environment. Due to our small size employees are not doing the same monotonous task day after day. The core responsibilities are always there, but the rhythm of day is always changing, you will bounce between service, retail and side projects. We are an expanding company looking for opportunities, therefore you will be encouraged to pursue your own projects that will contribute to the cycling community. In short, it's a fun and stimulating place to work.
Cycling Elements also offers a great lifestyle. We relocated in Orangeville, a good-sized town where things happen year-round, yet still small enough so you can make a real difference in the community. Best of all, Orangeville offers affordable living surrounded by great riding and outdoor activities. You can ride five different mountain bike areas within a 45-minute drive or enjoy a quiet, hilly side road in less than 10 minutes.
Cycling Elements is a friendly, community focused bike shop looking to help people get out and enjoy their ride. We treat all riders with respect.
