On Thursday, Round 2 of the UCI Track Nations Cup gets underway in Milton, at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. Today - Wednesday - we had an opportunity to meet up with Team Canada, take some photos and do some interviews.
It is a large team, with both experienced and development riders. The Women's Sprint squad consists of Canada's A team - Kelsey Mitchell, Lauriane Genest and Sarah Orban. These three riders won gold, silver and bronze medals at Round 1 a few weeks ago. However, the very powerful German squad was not there - they are in Milton, so we should see some very intense racing.
