Pre-DH Report

The rain has been dumping for the last week or so on and off, and today was no exception. Around noon the skies opened up and it has been raining heavily ever since.

The course is partially fresh cut, so no one is really sure how well it is going to hold up after tomorrow's practice. Only a few riders were on course today. Pendrel, Goss and Morland all took runs in the muck, but no one was hanging it out much, as we are all expecting certain sections to change completely by tomorrow afternoon if the rain continues.

If the rain lets up, we are all in for one heck of a ride when the mud thickens up and starts to coat Bromont's hundreds of slick rocks.

The upper section is fairly technical with a large, slippery steep chute to wide open, grassy chicanes. The middle section is mostly from the older Masters World's course along with a brand new switchback section that is already starting to get torn up. The end of the course is a LONG spring across various ski runs and through quick 10 yard wooded sections.
