Canada Sends Three Riders to Track Worlds

Canada will be sending three riders to the Track Worlds in Palma di Mallorca, Spain (March 29 - April 1). Gina Grain (Points Race and Scratch Race), Zach Bell (Points Race) and Travis Smith (Sprint and Keirin).

Grain's primary focus will be the Points Race, since this is the Olympic event. While she has medal at the Worlds in the Scratch Race, Grain still has to prove that she has similar potential in the more tactical Points Race. Zach Bell has qualified for both the Points Race and the Individual Pursuit, but will be focussing solely on the Points Race at the Worlds; again with a focus towards medal potential at the Olympics next year. Travis Smith is obviously considered to be a medal potential in both the Sprint and the Keirin.
