October 27th and again on November 24th

For anyone wishing to test themselves during the off-season the McMaster Varsity Cycling Club (MVCC) will be hosting two time-trials at White Swan Road (off Hwy 2 - between Ancaster/Brantford). The course is an out and back 7.5km for a 15km total. First off will be at 11AM.
The dates are THIS Saturday October 27 and Saturday November 24.
Cost is $10.00 with all proceeds going towards the MVCC team trip to Pennsylvania next March to compete in an NCAA road race.

The MVCC will be riding up to the course as a group - so please plan to warm-up on your own and be ready to race at 11AM. There will be a turn-marshal present at the 7.5km mark.

All abilities are welcome!

Help send the cycling team to race in the NCAA! (And for many of our members, the NCAA race will be their first road racing experience!)

For questions - please contact the Club President:

Sunday, October 28th

Hilton Falls Conservation Area (Milton) is proud to present 8th annual Spooks 'N Spokes MTB Time Trial this Sunday, October 28th. All proceeds from this race will go towards the maintenance of the 33km of trail in the park. There is a nice 5km loop for the youngsters and 14km loop for the oldsters. For more experienced riders you can ride 2 laps of the circuit.

The singletrack is in really good shape with all the dry weather. Hopefully will last into the weekend. The event goes rain or shine. There are prizes for the fastest racers and lots of draw prizes for everyone thanks to event sponsor Spokes 'N Slopes of Milton. It's lots of fun. Cost is $20 for under 14 years, and $25 for over 14 years and no race licence is required. The park is closed to the non-racing public during the race, but spectators are more than welcome and there is no entry fee for them so pack up the whole family and bring them along. For a registration form go to www.conservationhalton.on.ca or call Hilton Falls at 905-854-0262 from 8:30am to 4:30pm every day.
