Ontario and Canada's top cyclo-cross racers have pre-registered for the 2007 Toronto UCI-C2 International Pro-Am to take place this weekend.

Mike Garrigan (Epic Ride/Jet Power) is hot off his recent Elite Men's National Championship title and will face off against 2006 National Champion and 2007 runner-up Greg Reain (Ride with Rendall/Colnago/Time). Andrew Watson (Barrie Cycling Club) missed out on competing at Nationals but he has been scorching the Ontario scene with 5 race wins. He could be the dark horse favourite to take on Canada's best.

Rounding out the Elite Men's field is 4 time Ontario Provincial Champion Peter Morse (Jet Fuel Coffee) and 2 time Ontario Champion Aaron Fillion (Ottawa Bicycle Club).

The women's field features the Elite Women's National Champion Wendy Simms (Kona - Yourkey.com).

Both days will offer full UCI point and prize money for Elite men and Women, with a total of $4200 up for grabs. New this year, Master 1 Men (elite masters) will be racing for the same first place prize money as Elite Men. That's $460 each day for first place masters, With Cash prizes to fifth place. There is a combined total of over $1600 for both days. Races are offered for all categories, and with the current strength of the Canadian dollar. It's worth the drive.

You can also enjoy the race day festivities from a course side seat, in the Amsterdam Brewery sponsored beer tent. Located right in front of the double barriers. For more information go to www.midweekclub.ca
