Operation Puerto to be reopened
A Madrid court has ordered the reopening of the Operation Puerto investigation into an alleged doping ring in cycling, according to Spanish media.

El Pais newspaper said Judge Arturo Beltran had ordered the probe to be relaunched after considering various appeals.

Court officials were not immediately available for comment.

Armstrong wants drug probe in all sports
Lance Armstrong wants other sports investigated properly if there is another chapter in the Operation Puerto saga.

Speaking the day before his professional cycling comeback, the Tour de France star said he had heard little about new speculation that Puerto would reopen.

Lance Armstrong promises online access to drug tests
Lance Armstrong has already missed one startline in his comeback: a website that was intended to ensure the transparency of his anti-doping program is not yet up and running.

Armstrong reaffirmed on Saturday that his competitive return to cycling after three years in retirement would be governed by "the most comprehensive anti-doping program in the history of sports."

The seven-time Tour de France champion had previously promised open online access to results of his doping tests ahead of his comeback race, the Tour Down Under, which has a criterium on Sunday ahead of its official start on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Armstrong offered no assurances that the website would be online by Tuesday.

T wasn't the second coming but at times it seemed like it wasn't far from it.
American cycling legend and seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong fronted the media in Adelaide ahead of his return to the professional peleton for the Tour Down Under.

And despite the hype and unprecedented global interest in almost every aspect of his story and his life, he laughed off suggestions his comeback was a bit like the return of Jesus Christ.

"I've been called a lot of things in my life ... and I don't know that He rode either," Armstrong said.

Armstrong wears cancer numbers on return
There are two numbers blazoned on the new bike Lance Armstrong will ride in the Tour Down Under and the American sporting legend and cancer campaigner says they sum up the reasons for his return to professional cycling.

The first - 1,274 - refers to the number of days between when the Texan retired at the end of the 2005 Tour de France and the start of his comeback in Adelaide.

While the second - 27.5 - refers to the estimated millions of cancer deaths worldwide in that time.

"So in those 1,274 days approximately 27.4 million people around the world have died from this disease," Armstrong said on Saturday.
