With so many movie celebrities in town these days, Toronto was host to a cycling celebrity.
Today, at noon, Thor Hushovd arrived at Wheels of Bloor for a “group ride” in High Park. Followed by about 40 fans, Thor managed to take photos with, sign autographs and talk to all of them individually.
The ride lasted over an hour with a 30 minute “coffee break” at the restaurant in High Park.
Calm, approachable and modest, Thor Hushovd did an outstanding job in promoting Canadian bike manufacturer and sponsor Cervelo.
After racing the past week at the Tour of Missouri and on his way home, with very little sleep, he handled the “pressure” of 40 enthusiastic fans, like he handles the top sprinters in TDF, with class.
