The BC Track Championships are just around the corner, September 2-4 in Victoria, and the organizers have added a few new events and extended the registration deadline,

Inspired by the success of the recent Provincial Development Camp, the race organizers of the 2011 BC Track Cycling Championships are pleased to announce an exciting new component of this year’s provincial championships: the Dr. Walker Recordbreakers!

Each rider under the age of 19 taking part in a timed event (team and individual pursuit, team sprint, 500mTT/kilo, and flying 200m) will be competing for both provincial glory AND for the chance to set new cadet and junior track records and see their names alongside such prominent track cyclists as Lori-Ann Muenzer and Curt Hartnett in the newly re-established record books of the Commonwealth Legacy Velodrome. The new record holders will also receive a cash prize kindly donated by Dr. Wayne Walker.

To allow for the maximum possible number of racers, the registration deadline has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, August 31st.

Please refer to the Website for more information: registration, technical guide, updated schedule and more.
