January 17/13 13:19 pm - Bicycle Parking Webinar Series

Posted by Editoress on 01/17/13

This spring, join the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) for a series of four webinars that covers all aspects of bicycle parking. The series begins with an overview and discussion of basic principles, followed by three focused discussions on applications and techniques used by different entities with an interest in accommodating bicycle parking demand.

Using videos, schematics from actual projects and case studies, this series examines the role bicycle parking can play in creating healthy, sustainable communities. Webinars are one hour each and take place on Wednesdays, January through April, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time. One digital file copy of APBP's Bicycle Parking Guidelines, 2nd Edition, is included with the purchase of the series.

Who should attend? Municipal staff, transit agency staff, managers of educational, corporate and healthcare campuses, and members of Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committees (BPACs), as well as elected officials and staff of bicycle advocacy organizations. Intended for both the experienced agency manager and those new to developing bicycle parking solutions, examples are drawn from across North America to show how a comprehensive approach to parking can help achieve both public and private goals while integrating with other land use, transit and sustainability efforts.

Four sessions: January 23, February 27, March 13, April 10 - 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Eastern
