The Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club has been sponsoring the Tour de Speed since 2007.  During that time, participation has grown steadily and now attracts over 120 of southern Ontario’s finest young cyclist between the ages of 9 to 16. Races are run on paved country roads with rolling hills to add to the challenge.

Events include a TT of 3.0 or 4.3 kms and a road race of 8.6 to 34.4 kms, depending on age. Participants receive a free t-shirt and a BBQ lunch while podium finishers receive a medal.

For Boys & Girls 9 to 16 Years of age

Location: A few kilometres northeast of Newmarket. The race starts and finishes at the North Union Community Centre at the corner of Boag Road and Catering Road.
