The Share the Road Cycling Coalition, Ontario's provincial cycling advocacy organization, in partnership with Les Domestiques will host a free family event, the Lids for Kids Family Fun Ride, on Sunday, June 1st, at Mississauga's Celebration Square at 300 City Centre Drive.

"Our Club is delighted to sponsor this event," said Howard Chang, a member of Les Domestiques and the CEO of Top Drawer Creative. "As a mechanism for enhancing safety and providing children with the equipment and skills necessary to encourage them to cycle more often, and provide them and their parents with important safety information that will enhance their experience and enjoyment of cycling. With its numerous benefits to individuals, families and to our society more broadly, cycling is a life-long activity we are hoping to create healthy habits for life in our children."

Organizers are encouraging Mississauga residents to bring their families out for a fun-filled afternoon.

The event is free for participants and is focused on getting kids ready for summer by offering free helmets for the first 200 participants (courtesy of Les Domestiques), a cycling rodeo and bike safety checks. The event will also feature a Family Fun Ride along a closed course for all ages. Refreshments will also be served.

Registration will begin at 3 p.m., and the event will run until 5 p.m. For more information go Here.
