Dual
In the 1st elimination round for the men, Cedric Gracia was ahead of Phil Tintsman who hit Gracia's rear wheel, knocking him off his bike. Tintsman kept going and won. Gracia protested and Tintsman was yellow carded. Gracia wanted Tintsman to be disqualified and stormed off the course after a 30 second finger waving session with Tintsman. Tintsman was declared the winner and went on to be beaten in the next round.

Downhill
Missy (Giove) said this course is going to be tough. Lots of steep short hills and yet lots of pedaling. It will require a rider to be a good strong technical rider to win on the downhill course.

The weather has improved (somewhat) for today's downhill, but on the horizon are ominous dark clouds. In this mornings qualifires, many of the top riders were deliberatly taking slow runs, so as to give them an earlier start time, thus out running the rain. Some event stopped before the finish line and waited for their manager to tell them when to cross.
