July 23/00 4:14 am - Miles Then Kabush, But Where is McGrath?

MTB Nationals

As the men start their last lap, it is Chad Miles in first still, 4 minutes ahead of Geoff Kabush. Ryder Hesjedal has managed to move back into third, 40 seconds behind Kabush, Andreas Hestler another 10 seconds back. The rain has stopped and the sun is out, but the big question is: Where is Seamus McGrath? He has not come through, more than 5 minutes after his Olympic rival Kabush passed through, and we have no idea whether he has a mechanical or crash. At this point, Geoff Kabush looks to be assured an Olympic berth.
