Trek Red Truck rider Denise Ramsden was selected for the UCI World Championships, capping a remarkable year for Denise and her team. The in-form Ramsden has enjoyed much success this season including: winning the Gas Town Grand Prix and the Sea Otter Road Race, along with a number of other podium results. This marks the fourth Elite World Championships that she has taken part in.

Denise isn't the only Trek Red Truck rider who will be heading to the USA for the UCI World Championships. She will join three others from the TRT squad who have qualified to race at the World Junior Championships. Gillian Ellsay (Courtenay, BC) and Joel Taylor (Victoria, BC) will be racing the TT and the Road Race events, while Willem Boersma (Portage la Prairie, MB), will be on the start line for the Road Race.

"It's unprecedented to see so many of our squad get the opportunity to race at the elite world championships level and we wish them every success," says team Director Steve Engh.  "This year we've taken a record number of Provincial, National and international titles - and enjoyed great results at the UCI/NRC level of racing."
