Organizers of the Lenzerheide, Switzerland, Mountain Bike World Cup have announced that they will have to reschedule their combined Cross-country / Downhill event, due to national restrictions on events until the end of August. They are hoping it will be possible to reschedule to the Fall, with a final decision to come at the end of May, when the government announces whether restrictions will continue.

"For us, the safety and well-being of our visitors, athletes, helpers and partners have top priority, especially in times of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. This also means that we follow the instructions and recommendations of the government and the health authorities," says Christoph Müller, OC President of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide.

So far, every round of the World Cup has been either cancelled or postponed, as has the XCO world championships. The next World Cup still on the schedule is Mont-Ste-Anne, Canada, however, the Quebec government has also restricted events until the end of August. We have been told that organizers for MSA are discussing the situation with the provincial government and sanctioning bodies.
