Sadly, on August 16th the cycling community lost a supporter, past volunteer, and official. Ian Fraser, father of professional cyclist Gord Fraser, died suddenly while sleeping. Ian was in excellent health. This loss is a shock to the local Ottawa community and, I am sure, to all of the athletes that have passed through the Fraser's house, or who have had the joy of conversation at cycling, skiing, running, triathlon, and numerous other sports events over the past several decades.

Ian's presence will be missed. We wish the family well and hope they find some comfort in knowing just how much Ian contributed to the lives of so many people.

Arrangements:

Visitation - Sunday 2-9 at the Kelly Funeral Home on Eagleson Rd, Ottawa, Ontario
Funeral - Monday 10 am at St. Matin de Porres on Richmond Rd, Ottawa, Ontario

Note: We will pass on messages to the Fraser family. Send your message to: news@canadiancyclist.com
