Cactus Cup - Stage 2

Alison Sydor increased her lead in the Cactus Cup offroad stage race by winning her second consecutive stage - the Fatboy Criterium. Run as a Devil-Take-the-Hindmost style event (the last riders in the pack are removed every lap until only a few are left to sprint it out), Sydor grabbed a 30 second time bonus by winning the crit. Lesley Tomlinson finished third, gaining a 15 second bonus, and retaining her second place position in GC. Steve Tilford took the men‚s event, and Johan Malmsten grabbed enough time to replace Chris Sheppard in the GC lead. Sheppard has dropped to third, followed by Andreas Hestler.
