BTAC Mechanic Certification Tour

The Bicycle Trade Association of Canada is pleased to announce the launch of the first National Mechanics Certification Tour. BTAC, now in its second year of independent management, has made it a priority to revitalize the Certified Mechanic Program. With the assistance of our generous sponsors Cycles Devinci Inc., Cycles Lambert Inc., Park Tools Company, Raleigh Industries of Canada Ltd, RockShox, Shimano Canada Ltd., and Techno Cycle the courses will be of highest quality.

Set to begin February 4th in Quebec City, and stopping in nine cities from coast to coast, the tour will offer two levels of certification: Level 1 - Basic Assembly and Level 2- Advanced Repair. The curriculum has been developed by professional mechanics and industry veterans in order to offer the most effective use of student‚s time invested. Each course has a strong balance of instruction, demonstration, and practical hands-on experience. Head instructor Denise Belzil will oversee each session with local instructors providing the core components of the courses. Final testing will take place on the last day of the course.
