Canadian Track Project Preview

I am very excited to be travelling to this years West Indies -vs- The
World cycling series with a group of espoir aged track athletes + 4 cagey veterans from our National Team program. The trip is split into 4 weekends of racing - 3 weekends in Trinidad with the 4th weekend in Barbados.

This year I am bringing 5 younger athletes from the Calgary Cycling Centre, 2 of them represented Canada at the Junior Track World Championships in 2001 (Ryan McKenzie and Nick Corcoran). Travis Smith, Joel Regimbald, and Chris Bentley (all former medalists at the Junior National Track Championships) will round out the roster from the Calgary Centre. Joining us will be Glen Rendall (Ottawa) as our endurance ringer.

Lars Madsen, Steen Madsen and Tyler Hansen will be joining us for the 3rd and 4th weekends of racing.

This trip is the start of the track season for most of these athletes, and the first official test of the winter training regime. Things look good for the group !

I will attempt to provide updates from Trinidad,

Stay tuned for more info.
