BC's Greatest One-Day Bicycle Race Returns to Gastown
Courtesy Cycling BC

In 1991, Gastown was won by a 19 year old racer who went on to win the Tour de France three consecutive times (gee, I wonder who that is...). This year, after a 10 year absence, Gastown will once again attract North America's top cyclists back to the cobble streets to battle for $10 000 in cash and prizes.

The Tour de Gastown Criterium, in conjunction with British Columbia's first ever 'Cycling SuperWeek,' will feature 7 high caliber cycling events over the course of one action-packed week, and be kicked off with the 2nd Annual SISU BC Cup Tour de Delta, July 5, 6 and 7 (Hillclimb, Criterium and Road Race). Wednesday evening will mark the historical return of the Tour de Gastown Criterium, with the week coming to a close with what is arguably Canada's premier road race and final event in the six event SISU BC Cup Series, the Tour de White Rock July 12, 13 and 14 (Hillclimb, Criterium and Road Race).

Mark your calendar. This will be THE week to be in Vancouver!!!
