Hamilton 2003 Worlds Championship Tickets on Sale Today

The Hamilton 2003 Road World Championships Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Week Passes for this incredible event will be on sale starting today at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time (3:00 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time).

The 2003 Road World Cycling Championships will take place in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from October 6 to 12. It will be only the third time the Road Worlds have been held in North America and only the sixth time they have been staged outside Europe.

Hamilton 2003 Event Tickets will be on sale through Ticketmaster. Spectators can order by phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 905-527-7666 (Hamilton), 416-870-8000 (Toronto), or 613-755-1111 (Ottawa - bilingual operators) and on-line through the Ticketmaster web site www.ticketmaster.ca. The following are the Ticket Prices for the 2003 Road World Cycling Championships (all prices listed are in Canadian dollars):

Fans purchasing Week Passes for Hamilton 2003 will realize a savings of $120.00 (Cdn. Funds) on the Gold Grandstand tickets and a savings of $50.00 (Cdn. Funds) on the Silver Standing tickets over purchasing tickets for each single day. In addition, fans purchasing Week Passes will also receive savings ($20 Grandstand, $10 Standing) over buying tickets for Saturday and Sunday only, which are traditionally the two most well-attended days. Initially the only tickets available for Hamilton 2003 will be Week Passes, single day tickets will go on sale in late August.

Large screen televisions offering fans complete coverage of the World Championship race will be located in the Gold Grandstand and Silver Standing areas. There will also be concession and merchandise areas throughout these areas.

The Road World Cycling Championships will be staged in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from October 6 to 12, 2003. Over 800 athletes from over 50 different countries will compete in ten different races. There are two disciplines - the individual time trial and the road race with five different classifications, elite men and women, junior men and women, as well as Under 23 men.
