Gear up and get ready this Autumn to help the Lung Association help others to breathe easier. The Lung Association of Ontario's 4th Annual "Lungs Are For Life" BikeTREK will be held on Sunday, September 21st, 2003, beginning at Coronation Park, Oakville.

This year the route will be from Oakville to Burlington, up to Milton returning to Oakville on the back country roads. Three routes are being designed ˆ 20K, 60K and 100K. Within the 20K route there will be a route designed especially for families.

Come alone, bring your family or gather your colleagues from work, start training this spring and ride in the fall for The Lung Association. Help raise monies to support the "Lungs Are For Life" educational program for children, kindergarten through to grade 12. Tune up your bike. Get ready to ride. Help us meet our goal of $20,000 to fight lung disease.

Dearborn Health Performance & Wellness Centre of Waterloo Becomes Primary Sponsor for Festival

The Waterloo Cycling Club is pleased to announce that Dearborn Health Performance & Wellness Centre of Waterloo, has agreed to become the Primary Sponsor of the clubs first bicycle race in over 20 years. Dearborn Health provides Chiropractic , Physiotherapy, Massage, Acupuncture for Sports & Work related injuries. Dearborn will be in the exhibitors area along with Local bike shops & other event sponsors.

Festival de Velo is shaping up to be a blockbuster of an event with secondary sponsorship coming from Weber Supply in Kitchener.

The July 20th race will be Paced by a 50th Edition 2003 Corvette from Schluter Chevrolet Oldsmobile Ltd. a long time sponsor of the W.C.C.

Promotion for Festival de Velo has gone out to 50,000 plus Residents of the local community.

Plan to arrive early for your Start time so that you can experience the Festive Atmosphere at RIM Park.

Any Category with a minimum of 20 riders will receive prizes to 10th position. (Women, Cadet, Junior). All other categories the minimum prize list is guaranteed.

Minimum $250.00 in Primes for each Start time, cash & store gift certificates will be awarded. Prime prizes will go to the top 3 or 5 Places.

Post race fruit will be available to all riders.
