After six incredible camps throughout BC and Alberta, the Sugoi Dirt Series is getting ready to wind up the 2003 season, but not without a true finale.

The second to last weekend in September will see the program travel to Whistler to run the first co-ed camp in Dirt Series history. With over 500 women out on the trails with improved cornering skills, more confident wheelie drops, and cleaner descents, it's the guys chance to come along and polish their skills.

The camp will run on a three day format, with a Friday night maintenance session and weekend orientation, and then two full days of valley rides, mountain top descents, instructional bike park time, and beginner through advanced skill workshops. Saturday night will feature an evening out dinner, drinks, social time, and a one-of-a-kind Sugoi fashion show.

This Sugoi Dirt Series camp will offer something unique to returning and new participants alike. Each participant will get to set their own itinerary, blocking in co-ed or women's only rides, and a huge variety of technical skill sessions, as they'd like. The fire ban for the Whistler area has just been lifted -- whatever you want to learn, and whatever you want to do, this is the time to make it happen.

The camp cost is $145 for Cycling BC and Alberta Bicycle Association members and $165 otherwise. It includes lunch both days and free access to the bike park including the mountain top descents.

Discounted accommodation rates are available at the Holiday Inn to all participants -- $79 for a suite complete with a kitchenette, Jacuzzi and fireplace. Additional options, including campgrounds and hostels, are listed on the Cycling BC website.

For more information call the Cycling BC office at 604-737-3034 or visit the website: www.cycling.bc.ca. See you there.

The Sugoi Dirt Series is run in partnership with Cycling BC and the Alberta Bicycle Association, brought to you thanks to Sugoi Clothing, and supported by Powerbar, Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Smith Eyewear, Camelbak, fi'zi:k saddles, Nokian tires, Brave Soldier Products, Canadian Springs, Kicking Horse Coffee; Pedal Magazine, and the Ride Guide. This particular camp is hosted by Whistler Blackcomb's Glacier Shop.
