Track Coaching Course (Level 1)

Depending on interest from Ontario coaches, the OCA will be offering a level 1 track coaching course this fall in Bromont Quebec. The course will be scheduled between late October and early Nov. 2003.

Format of the course: Some classroom work and on-track work as well. Coaches will be riding on the track as part of the course. This course will be run under the new CBET (competency based) format.

Affordable accommodation is available at the training centre at Bromont. As well, there are full kitchen facilities available for use. Room rentals are in the $60.00 per night range (or $15.00 per room per night) for a room which has sleeping accommodation for four people.

Track bikes can be rented from the training centre at reasonable rates in the $10.00 per day range. (Participants must supply their own pedals for the track bikes).

Course Conductor: Eric van den Eynde, National Coach at Bromont
Cost of the course $100.00 range.

More information on the exact date of the course will be available when confirmed.

We are trying to determine interest. We need a minimum number of coaches to make the course affordable. To add your name to a list of participants for the course, contact Nena Snyder of the OCA at 1-416-426-7401 or e-mail at cycling@ontariocycling.org
