Barry Re Ups with Postal

After his superb seventh place finish at the Road Worlds in Hamilton a few weeks ago, Canadian Michael Barry has re-signed with US Postal. Michael confirmed his return to Lance Armstrong's team, and said that his race schedule for next season will be determine when the team meets for its January training camp.

Mathias Farm 'Cross Cancelled - Ontario
Courtesy SCCC

We at the SCCC regret to inform that the Mathias Farm Cyclocross race scheduled for this weekend (November 2nd) will have to be cancelled. Permission to access the farm was delayed and ultimately refused due to family committments. At this late date it would be impossible to find an alternative course due to permissions and insurance. Of note - this race was initally not a SCCC event and was picked up and revived, almost. We will endeavour to put it back on in 2004.

2004 Road Nationals

We have learned that a strong bid to host the 2004 Road Nationals has been put in by the B.C. city of Kamloops. Edmonton was the initial choice, but withdrew. The CCA is reviewing the bid.

U.S. Olympic Trials Clarification

Andy Lee, Director of Communications for USA Cycling, has confirmed that the U.S. Olympic Trials, scheduled for June 16-19 in Redlands, California, will be open to U.S. riders only.
