UCI 'Cross Deadline

The UCI has circulated information concerning the registration of international cyclo-cross events for the 2004/05 calendar.

The UCI registration deadline is Monday, December 15, 2003. All documentation must be submitted to the CCA by Wednesday, December 10th at the latest. Registration for international events must be submitted to the UCI by the National Federation.

Anyone with an interest to host an international cyclo-cross event should contact the CCA to receive more information with regard to the technical and financial requirements. All new events are required to prepare a detailed technical file to be presented to UCI with the registration application.

The CCA is also interested in any organizers who may wish to host the 2004 Cyclo-cross National Championships. Letters of interest should be submitted to the CCA by December 15, 2003.

Martinez Abandons Road

Olympic mountain bike champion Miguel Martinez announced in a weekend interview with l'Equipe that he will be returning to mountain bike racing full time, abandoning his road career after 2 seasons.
