The final road race in the 2004 Victoria Cycling League series runs this Wednesday night on the popular Latoria Road course. There are still a couple hill climbs, but this is the last chance for anyone looking for a good, fast road race (or any road race for that matter) in Victoria this year.

North Shore Credit Union Enduro set to go this Saturday!

Looking for a fun race with great organization, extra activities and lots of prizes? The third running of the North Shore Credit Union Enduro is set to go this Saturday, August 21 and it looks like our picture perfect weather is going to continue!

Course Marked for Pre-Riding
We have the course at the Lower Conservation Reserve fully marked for pre-riding including the new sections. Feel free to ride the course this week so that you know exactly where you are going and how to plot your strategy!

New Course Additions
We have added 2 new sections onto the already great Enduro course. Right after the singletrack climb out of Camp Brick is a new section of doubletrack that features both descending and climbing sections.

In the past, there have been some challenges in the middle of the course where the track crosses the Baden Powell Trail. A large pipe was known to reach out and grab a number of competitors in previous years. We have added a little more open trail on this section followed by a nice piece of singletrack that twists and turns through the forest before joining the regular trail back near the Baden Powell.

These sections have made the course a little bit longer and a lot more interesting!

Corporate Challenge, presented by Keystone Environmental
This is your way to give something back! Enter your team, download a pledge form and help raise money for North Shore Rescue, a great volunteer service right here on the North Shore. And as an added bonus, the team that raises the most pledges will be awarded 4 awesome official Festival race jerseys, courtesy of Keystone Environmental. (check out the jerseys at http://www.nsmbfc.com).

Striking Winners Jerseys
Thanks to Atac Sportswear (www.bikeatac.com ) we have some great winners jerseys that will be awarded to the winners of all categories. Check them out!

Saeco Coffee
This year, we have an exciting new sponsor in Saeco Coffee! They will be setting up with one of their specialty coffee machines right in the transition area where competitors can take full advantage of the caffeine boost!

Early Check-In
As in previous years, we will have early race check-in and race registration at Camp Brick (start/ finish area) from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday evening August 20. We encourage all participants to use this service. Check-in on Friday evening without distractions and line-ups, then show up on Saturday morning with nothing to do but race and have fun!
