Australia Boosts Funding for Beijing Athletes

Radio Australia is reporting that The Australian Olympic Committee has announced a major boost to funding for athletes ahead of the Beijing Olympics. Athletes who have won medals at world championships or other major events will receive an extra 33 per cent, in one lump sum payment in January. More than 200 athletes and coaches are eligible.
