We just spoke with Catharine Pendrel (Luna), after her third place finish. "It was a short race; a seven kilometre lap with a super technical first climb and descent (four laps). I went to the front for the first climb, and then Mary [McConneloug] and Irina [Kalentieva] went by me, and Rosara [Joseph] caught us on the descent."

"Irina started to push it harder, and she and I got away, but she was able to drop me on the second lap on the climb. Geoff [Kabush] and I have been pretty exhausted all week; I felt good today, but my legs weren't great. It felt like we were riding at altitude, even though it is only about 800 metres."

"Rosara was able to get by me on the last lap near the second feedzone for second place by a few seconds. But without Fullana or Lene [Byberg] racing here, it should make me pretty solid for second overall [in the World Cup]."
