Legendary Canadian commissaire Maurice Jefferies has corrected our statement that the tie for third in the U23 Road Race is the first documented tie for a podium position at the Worlds.

"In the 1978 World Junior Championships Road Race held in Washington USA there was a tie for Third position, I remember well as I was the Chief Commissaire. More difficult to sort out those days with the old film photo finish."
