Taiwan Trade Center Vancouver (TTCV), Taiwan's official trade office in BC, cordially invites Canadian bicycle companies to Taipei Cycle (www.taipeicycle.com.tw), March 16-19, 2011, at Taiwan's most prestigious exhibition venue - TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall.
The 2011 Taipei Cycle features three main exhibit areas:
• Complete bicycles
• Bike parts & accessories
• Light E-vehicles (LEV)
Started 23 years ago, the show has grown into one of the world's top three must-see bicycle trade shows. The trade show embraces Taiwan's spirit of innovation and service that offer a global selection of bicycle products to tickle the imagination of the fussiest buyer.
Taiwan holds second place in the bicycle industry. The Taiwan bicycle export value in the second quarter of 2010 increased by 31% (US $289 million) as global economy recovers and fuel prices rebound - based on preliminary statistics from the Taiwan Bicycle Exporter's Association.
The 2010 Taipei Cycle show attracted 894 exhibitors from Asia with China, Korea and Japan accounting for the majority. The European and North American attendance represented up to 20.8% and up to 13.4%, respectively. In terms of media representatives, the show totaled 423 attendees; with international media increasing by 30%. The annual cycle show encompasses a broad variety of events and fun-filled activities from presentations, seminars, award ceremonies, a two-day Trend Forum, the Tour de Taiwan road race, and much more.
Taiwan has become much more attractive in terms of trading for Canadian companies. When Canadian companies invest in Taiwan, they are also reaching out to the Chinese market. Canada has "re-positioned Taiwan as an ideal partner in light of the economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA)," stated by Scott Fraser, Executive Director of the Canadian Trade Office. Therefore, we encourage Canadian companies to join us and experience the latest, most innovative products Taiwan has to offer, and tap into both markets and locate an ideal partner suitable for your business.
