W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. and Lambert announced that Gore Running Wear, the pioneering, highly functional clothing systems for today's runners, will now be available in Canada - a much anticipated first for sports enthusiasts across the country.

Lambert will be the exclusive Canadian distributor, bringing technical running apparel to dealers nationwide. The Gore Running Wear collection stands for durable high-tech function and premium quality. The brand has consistently set new standards that allow runners to improve performance, while providing optimal protection.

The Gore-Tex and Windstopper brands, as well as other carefully selected technical fabrics are key components in the product line - from jackets to trousers, shirts, caps, and right down to socks. Gore Running Wear's no-compromise combination of comfort, protection, design, safety, and visibility, make the brand a must-have for runners, whether they are elite marathoners, cross-country fiends, or weekend pavement pounders.

"Gore Running Wear started in 1997, and since then, we have sought to combine the best possible materials and technologies in our high-tech apparel for runners. Each individual product we make benefits from our 25+ years of experience in functional apparel design," said Jay Herring of W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. "Lambert has been a key player in helping us grow Gore Bike Wear in Canada. It was only natural to partner again to launch Gore Running Wear."

"We are honored that W.L. Gore & Associates have the confidence in Lambert to deploy its running apparel line across Canada. It is the successful outcome of the hard work we have put into making Gore Bike Wear a success," said Sylvain Caya, General Manager at Lambert.

"Lambert will be deploying Gore Running Wear in specialty running stores, with a dedicated sales force and a specially trained customer service team."

Sell-in began in January 2011, with product hitting retail in August 2011.
