MTB Community Urged to Participate in Rouge National Park Survey

August 28, 2012 at 4:13 pm by Tracy Harkness Daily News, Women's Cycling, Advocacy, News

Lora Woolner, Executive Director at IMBA Canada, has asked us to pass the word on that mountain bikers are urged to participate in the Rouge Park Survey, for the first urban national park in Canada.

"Parks Canada has actually approached us," explained Woolner, "asking us to urge the recreation community to speak up by filling out the Rouge Park Survey. Right now, the overwhelming response has come from conservationists, and they are not getting a balanced picture of what the public wants to see in their first National Urban Park."

"Unless we ask for it directly, we will not see mountain biking in the Rouge - We just need to get mountain bikers to speak up."

So, we ask EVERYBODY to take a few minutes and go to www.imbacanada.com/news/rouge-survey RIGHT NOW!

September 17th is the last day to give input.
