Afghan Women's Cycling Team Nominated for Nobel Prize

Total Women's Cycling is reporting that the national women's cycling team of Afghanistan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by members of the Italian Parliament.

A documentary about the team shows the harassment the 40 women face as they ride their bikes. The trailer for the documentary went viral, and 118 Italian MPs signed a petition to have the Afghan Women's Cycling Team included in a larger nomination of the Bicycle as an agent of change for the Nobel Peace Prize.
