Heras Faces 2 Year Ban
Spanish pro Roberto Heras, a member of the Liberty Seguros-Würth ProTour team has received a 2 year ban after testing positive for EPO in the penultimate stage of last year's Vuelta a Espana. Heras, who won the Vuelta (his fourth victory), will be stripped of the title, which will go to Russia's Denis Menchov (Rabobank).
Heras has denied the positive, however, the Spanish cycling federation has applied the sanction. He now has approximately one month to launch an appeal.
