BC Athlete Assistance Program

This BC Government program provides financial assistance to promising provincial athletes. Cycling BC is mandated to administer the 'technical' aspects of developing fair selection and performance criteria, and awarding funds to eligible athletes.
Application Deadline - March 6, 2006
Eligibility Criteria
Recipients of AAP funding must:
Hold a current CCA license issued by Cycling BC
Have taken part in the 2005 National Championships in either the Road, Track or Cross-Country disciplines OR have taken part in the 2005 National BMX Championships with a top 4 ranking or Canada Cup BMX Series with a top 3 ranking.
Be under the guidance of a Level 2 certified coach (min. certification), or in the case of BMX, be under the guidance of a recognized BMX Coach or leader.
Not be receiving any other provincial or national carding, or receiving a significant salary for their sporting endeavors
Contribute to Cycling BC athlete development and coaching initiatives
Be under 25 years old as of December 31, 2005
