Ride With Rendall Stage 11

Stage 11 of the RWR/ Peak Winter series turned out to be a clash of the Titans. On a course slightly longer than the usual stage length, Warren MacDonald and Aaron Fillion put on a display of power by recording the highest average wattages on route to the fastest times of the stage. Aaron managed to put a minute into Warren at the end of the stage despite Warren's early lead . Aaron's 50:55.8 edged out Warren's time of 51:54.6. The stage was filled with sharp climbs that punished those who went out too hard. Third place on the stage went to Marc Boudreau thanks to a great time of 54:18.4. The woman's field was spread out over the course with Vicki Thomas coming out on top with a time of 1:06.37.7 . Val Thompson climbed onto the podium in her first race of the series on a borrowed bike. Gatineau's Diane Dupuis held on to third place despite the challenges of the other riders.

While stage 11 was the first of three long course in the series, Stage 12 will return to the average stage length. With the outdoor season right around the corner, those considering trying Multirider racing for the first time are reminded that it is free on your first visit so don't delay.
