Hilton Falls Conservation Area Trail Work Sunday March 26
Hilton Falls Conservation Area is one of the few places in the Greater Toronto Area that has made a serious effort to accommodate mountain bikers. To assist the park, mountain bikers have volunteered several times in recent years to do trail maintenance.
A Trail Work Day is scheduled for Sunday March 26th. This year's trail work will include some fine tuning on the trails, collection of litter and mostly just getting the trails ready for the riding season.
Volunteers are requested for 9:30am. Rakes, small brush saws and pruners are a big help. Bring your bike and your coffee mug. A free pizza lunch, drinks, and admission to the trails are provided in appreciation of volunteer work. Please call Hilton Falls at 905-854-0262 or email at hiltonfalls@conservationhalton.on.ca to let them know that you can help them on this worthy day. This work day is open to anyone who rides, knows and loves Hilton Falls.
Hilton Falls All Weather Challenge MTB Time Trial Sunday April 2
Once again Hilton Falls Conservation Area is holding their annual Fund Raiser Individual Time Trial. The 14km course includes fast fire roads and some rough and rocky single track. You can race 1 lap or 2 depending on your category. The event goes rain or shine. There are prizes for the fastest racers and lots of draw prizes for everyone thanks to event sponsor Spokes 'n Slopes of Milton. It's lots of fun and all proceeds from the event go towards trail maintenance in the park. For a brochure/registration form with full event info go to www.mambokings.org/HiltonFallsTT06.pdf
