1999 International Mountain Bike Calendar

The 1999 UCI International Mountain Bike Calendar is now up in our Calendars section - just click on the Calendars link on the left. Some interesting notes on the Canadian events listed:

1. Canada Cups are scheduled against Norba National Series events. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does firmly put the Canada Cup in the role of a development series (since top Canadian riders with primarily U.S. teams will be obligated to do the Norba races).

2. The Canadian National Championships are scheduled against two major events - the Mercury Tour of the Rockies stage race, and the Kaprun Downhill World Cup. This could be a problem for some riders.

It should be noted that some of these dates may be subject to movement. We will have to wait for the official Canadian national calendar to be released on November 9th. Comments, as always, in the Forums.
