The CDP&P Bermuda Grand Prix, which gets underway this weekend, will determine the final standings in the 2007 Women's Prestige Cycling Series. The Series began at the Nature Valley Grand Prix in June followed by the International Tour de 'Toona in July.

Webcor - Platinum is set to make a run at Series leader Team Lipton. Although they're outnumbered six riders to four, Webcor - Platinum has sent past World Champion Karen Brems, who won the 2005 Bermuda Grand Prix, and 2005 US National Champion Katheryn Curi. However, they'll face a formidable Team Lipton squad, led by former USA National Criterium Champion Laura Van Gilder, a veteran rider with over 300 wins to her credit.

Series individual leader Kristin Armstrong (Team Lipton) has her title wrapped up even though she's away at the World Championship. In contrast, Erinne Willock's (Webcor - Platinum) trip to Worlds has put her lead in the Series Best Young Rider competition at risk. Katherine Carroll (Victory Brewing) is less than 100 points behind Willock and could claim the BYR crown at Bermuda.

Relative newcomer Brooke Miller (PABW powered by TIBCO) claimed the lead in the Series sprint classification at the Nature Valley Grand Prix when she won their Freewheel Bike Sprint competition, then successfully defended her Series lead at the International Tour de Toona. She'll have her work cut out for her in Bermuda with legendary sprinter Van Gilder only 88 points behind.
